Валерий Михайлович учился в институте физкультуры на кафедре футбола-хоккея в городе Москве, позднее окончил МПИ им. Ивана Федорова и заочный народный университет фотоискусства. Работал в городе Ялуторовске. Сотрудничал с районными и областными газетами. В 1980 году стал членом фотоклуба «Тюмень». С 1991 года член союза фотохудожников России.
Участник и победитель областных и международных выставок.

Valery Mikhailovich studied at the Institute of Physical Education at the Department of Football and Hockey in Moscow, later graduated from the MPI named after Ivan Fedorov and the Correspondence People's University of Photography. Collaborated with district and regional newspapers. Participant of various photo exhibitions in Russia and abroad. In 1980 he became a member of the photo club "Tyumen". Since 1991, a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia.
