Исай (Ицхок) Иудович Кадыш родился в 1870г. в г.Омске. Мещанин. Сын отставного солдата, омского фотографа Иуды Иудовича Кадыша. Открыл свою «Сибирскую фотографию» в Тобольске, получив свидетельство в мае 1889г. Через год, в мае 1890г., получил разрешение на открытие собственной фотографии в Тюмени. Переехав, на углу ул.Царской и Войновской открыл «Фотографическое ателье И.Кадыша в Тюмени», которое просуществовало до 1908г. Здесь он, как и в Тобольске не преминул заняться портретными съемками. Заказы Исаю Кадышу на семейные и персональные фото делали известные тюменские купцы – Гилевы, Колокольниковы, Жернаковы. Его имя отмечено на сотнях фирменных паспарту, на которые наклеены сделанные им фотографии жителей Тобольской губернии.
Был известен своими фотоальбомами, листы которых представляли собой монтажи из архитектурных, интерьерных снимков предприятия-заказчика, портретов сотрудников, всевозможных инструментов, карт и тд. Т.о., вошел в историю края, как летописец промышленной Тюмени. Но впервые он испробовал свою методику компоновки групповой фотографии и элементов промышленной символики в Тобольске, после того, как получил заказ от служащих землечерпалки «Сибирская – 2» в 1889-1890гг.

В 1908 г. вернулся в г.Омск, где унаследовал дело отца по его смерти. В Омске до сего времени сохранился дом Кадышей на углу ул.Пушкина и Думской ( Думская,5).
