Сегодня Нижневартовск является административным центром Нижневартовского района Ханты-Мансийского автономного округа — Югры. Находится в непосредственной близости от Самотлорского нефтяного месторождения и является одним из крупнейших центров российской нефтяной промышленности. Динамично развивающаяся социально-экономическая инфраструктура, превратила Нижневартовск в современный, комфортный и самый безопасный для проживания город.

Today Nizhnevartovsk is the administrative center of Nizhnevartovsk district of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.
