Родился 08.02.1941 года в селе Красный Яр, Кондинского района, Ханты-Мансийского округа. С 1946 года — житель Тюмени.
В 1958 г. Окончил школу № 26 в Тюмени и, как и большинство выпускников того времени, начал трудовую деятельность на заводе. Работал электрокарщиком на Тюменском аккумуляторном заводе, матросом в Рыбном порту в Мурманске, с
1960 по 1963 г. г. — служба в рядах Советской Армии, в ГДР. После службы один год отработал на Тюменском заводе «Строймаш» заливщиком в литейном цехе.
В 1964 г. поступил в Тюменский государственный пединститут на биолого-геогафический факультет, который успешно закончил в 1969 г. Публиковаться в местной прессе начал ещё будучи студентом и в 1970 году, отработав один год в Южнодубровинской средней школе, был принят на работу в «Тюменский комсомолец».
С 1973 г. — член Союза журналистов СССР и остаюсь членом союза, уже России, по сей день.
В 1974 г. работал по договору в газете «Тюменская правда»
В 1975 г. организовал при Доме народного творчества областной фотоклуб «Тюмень», но это не мешало мне оставаться журналистом, сотрудничал с областными газетами, а так же с журналами «Юный натуралист» и «Вокруг света».
1991−1994 г. г. — старший корреспондент газеты «Тюменские известия»
1994−1999 г. г. — Предприниматель без юридического лица (свободный журналист).
1998 г. — дефолт. Вынужден был поступить в ЗАО «Сибирский издательский дом» на должность заместителя главного редактора.
2000−2009 г. г.- редактор отдела журнала «Югра».
С 2009 г. — пенсионер.
Награды:
Участник и призёр многих международных, всесоюзных, всероссийских и областных фотовыставок.
Автор книг «Встречи с природой», «Таёжными тропами», «В глухарином краю», «Лоси спешат домой», «Рядом с нами».

- 1973 г. Вторая премия на Всесоюзном фотоконкурсе газеты «Известия» за снимок, сделанный на строительстве железной дороги Тюмень-Сургут.
- 1979 г. Золотая медаль FIAP (Международная ассоциация фотоискусства при ЮНЕСКО) за снимок в разделе репортажная фотография.
- 1980 г. Благодарственное письмо министра культуры ГДР за участие в международной фотовыставке.
- 1986 г. Премия журнала «Вокруг света» за лучший репортаж года.
- 2003 г. Памятный знак Союза Журналистов России «300 лет российской прессы»
- 2003 г. Почётный знак — «Легенда тюменской прессы».
- 2006 г. Сертификат за вклад в совершенствование журнала «Югра». ХIII Международная профессиональна выставка «ПРЕССА».
- 2007 г. Диплом лауреата фестиваля «Тюменская пресса-2007» в номинации «Журнальный проект года» за цикл материалов «Территория».
- 2011 г. Благодарственное письмо Тюменской областной Думы.
Участник и призёр многих международных, всесоюзных, всероссийских и областных фотовыставок.
Автор книг «Встречи с природой», «Таёжными тропами», «В глухарином краю», «Лоси спешат домой», «Рядом с нами».

In 1975, he organized the Tyumen regional photo club at the House of Folk Art, but this did not prevent him from remaining a journalist, he collaborated with regional newspapers, as well as with the magazines "Young Naturalist" and "Around the World".

- 1973 — the second prize at the All-Union photo contest of the newspaper "Izvestia" for a picture taken during the construction of the Tyumen-Surgut railway.
- 1979 — Gold medal of FIAP (International Association of Photography at UNESCO) for a picture in the section reportage photography.
- 1980 — Letter of thanks from the Minister of Culture of the GDR for participating in an international photo exhibition.
- 1986 — award of the magazine "Around the World" for the best reportage of the year.
- 2003 — commemorative badge of the Union of Journalists of Russia "300 years of the Russian press".
- 2003 — honorary badge "Legend of the Tyumen press".
- 2006 — certificate for contribution to the improvement of the magazine "Ugra". XIII International Professional Exhibition "PRESS".
