Работа на колхозных полях всегда была делом сложным и ответственным. Не зря же фразу «сбор урожая» именовали не иначе как «битва за урожай»! На войну с урожаем свозили шефов из города, отрывая от работы на производстве, школьники и студенты забрасывали свои учебники и конспекты, становясь на время сбора урожая «отрядами» и «бригадами». Овощи на полях собирали в мешки или в деревянную тару. А в конце рабочего дня быстро закидывали всё собранное на борт подошедшего грузовика. Каждый, кто прошёл школу советских шефства над колхозом помнят, как болит и не разгибается спина, как отваливаются после работы руки.
