Зверо-оленеводческий совхоз «Ярсалинский» создан 16 октября 1961 г. на основании постановления бюро ЦК КПССС и Совмина РСФСР № 877 от 08 июля 1961 г. «О преобразовании рыболовецких колхозов и сельскохозяйственных артелей Ханты-Мансийского и Ямало-Ненецкого национальных округов в совхозы и другие государственные и кооперативные хозяйства». Претворение в жизнь постановления правительства позволяло создать крупное государственное предприятие с круглогодичными устойчивыми заработками рабочих. Это способствовало улучшению бытовых условий местного населения, переводу его на оседлость.
Совхоз «Ярсалинский» создан на базе ликвидированной сельхозартели им. Ленина. Хозяйство совхоза комплексное, имеет следующие отдельные отрасли: оленеводство, звероводство, рыбный, пушной и кустарный промыслы. Хозяйственный центр совхоза – п. Яр-Сале.

The Yarsalinsky State Farm was created on the basis of the liquidated agricultural cartel named after Lenin. The economy of the state farm is complex, it has the following separate branches: reindeer husbandry, animal husbandry, fishing, fur and handicrafts. The economic center of the state farm is the village of Yar-Sale.
