Открытие нефти стало знаменательным и судьбоносным событием для нефтеюганцев. Именно они стали кадровой основой крупнейшего предприятия Нефтеюганска – Нефтепромыслового управления «Юганскнефть».
Однако работы по промышленному освоению новых месторождений осложнялись многими факторами. В Нефтеюганске до 1968 г. работали с барж, ощущалась нехватка наливных судов. В этом же году была построена первая труба на Омск и началась более равномерная добыча нефти. С ее пуском стали подключать в работу новые месторождения. В июле 1970 г. нефтепромысловое управление было преобразовано в нефтегазодобывающее управление «Юганскнефть» с новой структурой организации производства.
На обрабатываемых НГДУ «Юганскнефть» к 1 января 1993 г. было добыто более 338 млн. т. нефти, что могло бы составить железнодорожный эшелон нефтеналивных цистерн, способных два с половиной раза обогнуть по экватору земной шар.
На основе Указа Президента РФ от 1 июля 1992 г. № 721 и распоряжения администрации Нефтеюганского района от 9 июля 1993 г. № 564 было зарегистрировано Акционерное общество открытого типа «Юганскнефтегаз», учредителем которого стала нефтяная компания «ЮКОС». Сегодня главной задачей предприятия остается добыча нефти и газа, увеличение вклада в ускорение социально-экономического развития общества и обеспечение роста благосостояния его акционеров, а динамичный виток истории предприятий нефтяной отрасли Нефтеюганского региона связан с государственным российским холдингом ОАО «НК «Роснефть».

However, the work on the industrial development of new deposits was complicated by many factors. In Nefteyugansk, until 1968, they worked from barges, there was a shortage of bulk vessels. In the same year, the first pipe to Omsk was built and more uniform oil production began. With its launch, new deposits began to be put into operation. In July 1970, the oilfield management was transformed into the Yugansneft oil and gas production Management with a new production organization structure.
By January 1, 1993, more than 338 million tons of oil were produced at the processed NGDU Yugansneft, which could make up a railway echelon of oil tankers capable of circumnavigating the globe two and a half times along the equator.
On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 721 of July 1, 1992 and the order of the administration of the Nefteyugansk district No. 564 of July 9, 1993, the Open Joint Stock Company Yuganskneftegaz was registered, the founder of which was the YUKOS oil company. Today, the main task of the enterprise remains oil and gas production, increasing the contribution to accelerating the socio-economic development of the company and ensuring the growth of the welfare of its shareholders, and a dynamic turn in the history of the oil industry enterprises of the Nefteyugansk region is associated with the state-owned Russian holding company Rosneft.
